Amsterdam, Spain and Portugal Adventures 2024!
What can I say? Endless Adventure, Laughs, Friends and Food.
First I need to thank Warner, and Bas for being amazing tour guilds in Amsterdam and the surrounding areas. Love you both! I can’t wait until you both come visit me in 2025. Another big Thank you to Rianne and Paul for spending a day showing us their beautiful home and small lovely quaint village. Noa is such a beauty and gave both Jamie and I a much needed baby fix.
Also, a big thank you to Robbyn, Rose and Jeroen for sharing their spectacular homes in Amsterdam and Valencia Spain! Such a treat! Special homes and such special people!! And last but not least a special thank you to Virginia for showing us her home in Portugal and the beautiful sites nearby. You are lucky to live in such a magical spot.
Jamie and I laughed our way through this trip. It is perfect to be old and to not care when you do stupid things. We drove various cars, rode trams, trains and bikes. We botched the language in all countries, but always with a smile from the locals. We walked over 5 miles most days, and we ate things that we still don’t know what they were.
We were like a well oiled machine and didn’t have any issues. I still look back and wonder how we pulled this trip off without one glitch.
We stayed in wonderful farms, castles and hotels. All having their own personalities and memories. Thank you Jamie for being such a fantastic travel partner. I got younger being with you! Oh and the Tuk Tuk drivers also helped keep us younger. We will laugh for years to come. Next time we will feed the rooster whatever that testicle thing was! Here is to a world full of Victors! our host at one of our agroturismo stays! He was truly one of a kind in this world we live in.
Soon I will post photographic images from this trip. Now, it is time to reflect on the memories from this trip, and the wonderful people we met, while not forgetting future adventures to come.
